Global Switch, a leading provider of mission-critical, high-performance data centre solutions across Europe and Asia-Pacific, partnered with Legion of Racers (LOR), Singapore’s leading esports and lifestyle brand, to hold Drive For Good 2025.
Held at Singapore’s first wellness-themed serviced residence, The Initial Sama at 26 Evans Road, the programme welcomed approximately 50 young people – identified as those who might benefit most from support and access to opportunities.
Working alongside beneficiaries from the Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) and SHINE Children and Youth Services (SHINE), the programme provided a series of practical, confidence-building activities designed to support personal development, teamwork and essential life skills.
INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION
A key feature of the programme was an immersive SIM Racing experience using LOR’s professional racing rigs.
Through friendly competition, participants were encouraged to practice focus, discipline and perseverance – attributes that play an important role in early social and emotional development.
“It was truly inspiring to see the children so engaged and immersed in the activities,” said Lim Keong Wee, Co-Founder of Legion of Racers.

“It reminded us why we partnered with Global Switch on Drive For Good in the first place.
“Drive For Good is about more than just racing – it is about giving these young people a chance to bolster focus, form lasting friendships, and learn the value of healthy competition.”
Participants also took part in a fast-paced Time Trial challenge, competing to complete a set distance in the shortest possible time.
The contest fostered camaraderie, with participants supporting one another and celebrating the collective excitement of simulated motorsport.
The Drive For Good initiative reflects Global Switch’s long-standing commitment to the communities in which it operates.
By empowering young people, the company continues to support opportunities for learning, growth and aspiration, helping to train the next generation of talent in the local workforce.
“At Global Switch, we believe our strength is built on people – both within our organisation and across the communities we serve,” said Terence Teo, Managing Director, Global Switch Singapore.
“Drive For Good reflects our continued commitment to supporting personal development and creating opportunities for young people.
“The energy and enthusiasm we saw on the day demonstrated the real impact initiatives like this can have. We are proud to work alongside Legion of Racers, SHINE and MTFA to deliver such a positive and inspiring programme.”
SUSTAINING YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Muzdalifah Anuar, Darul Ihsan Girls’ Orphanage Home Manager further remarked, “We are grateful to Global Switch and Legion of Racers for providing our beneficiaries with such a positive and empowering experience.

“The activities gave them confidence, encouraged teamwork, and created lasting memories.”
“Drive For Good has once again proven the power of collaboration,” said Ms Sasha Ho, Assistant Senior Social Worker, SHINE Children and Youth Services.
“Our young people were wholly engaged in the activities and finished the day feeling inspired. Events like Drive For Good are a reminder that, together, we can open doors for future generations one step at a time.”
