Woodlands Lions have made another attempt at joining the Singapore Premier League.
The submission was made before the Football Association of Singapore’s (FAS) request for proposals closed on 14 March as it hunts for a tenth team to participate in the league.
It is not known how many other clubs would be making a submission and if Tengah FC, which made a submission in 2024 to enter the 2024-2025 season would also be making an attempt to get a place in the league.
Woodlands Lions President R Vengadasalam confirmed the submission made by the club which was founded in 2018.
He did not provide any further information.
The club has already been taking part in the Singapore Youth League.
In 2024, the Woodlands Lions said that it had the backing of a sponsor who was putting in a total of $10 million over five years.
It is not known if the same arrangement prevails for the current submission.
