The series is hosted by the SRO Motorsports Group.

In finishing as the 2023 champion, 14-year-old Tan retained the title he won in 2022, cementing his status as Singapore’s top sim racer.

At the GTWC Asia sprint series, Tan won four out of five races, which set him apart from runner up Ferris Stanley.

He said, “I am thrilled to be crowned as the GTWC ASIA Champion once again.

“This season has not been the easiest.

“However, with a lot of hard work and determination I have been able to defend my title.”

LOR co-founder Melvin Moh held Tan in high regard after the teenager finished in top spot at the Series for the second consecutive year.

“Without a doubt, DIllan Tan is probably Singapore’s top sim racer.

“Team Legion of Racers is thrilled to win the championship with Dillan Tan for a second year running, and also with Andika Rama coming in fourth.

“This would not be possible with the support of Mercedes-AMG, Tarmac Works, Motul and Next Level Racing, and I would like to thank them for trusting us at the Legion of Racers.”

Driving as part of Team Mercedes AMG, Tan started the final race in Suzuka in second position, and was able to take the lead after a dive from the outside into turn one at the start of the race.

He managed to maintain the lead from then onwards to finish, despite having a slight collision with rival Phillipa Boquida, who ended in third spot overall.

Apart from Tan, fellow Team LOR team-mate Andika Rama Maulana managed to finish sixth in the race and finished fourth in the championship overall.

Said the Indonesian, “It’s been an honour to represent AMG Motorsport and Legion of Racers in this season’s GTWC Esports Asia 2023.

“This season was the hardest one of GTWC Season for me.

“Finishing in fourth place in the Championship was not the result I wanted despite giving it everything I had.

“But nevertheless,we are really happy that Dillan has claimed the title again for this year.

“There are many things to work on for the next season, hopefully we can get better results on the next one.”
