The X account of a club participating in the Singapore Youth League (SYL) has gone offline in the midst of a probe into the coach for alleged sexual misconduct.
On 23 June, TMSG discovered that the club’s X account is now not accessible.

On its TikTok account, the X link is still visible, but when one tries to access it, the link points to a dead end.

TMSG had shared previously how the club’s official account had been following gay porn personalities, a point which had been raised by one of the informants who reached out to TMSG.

This information about the club’s X account comes at the back of allegations that the coach in question had engaged in alleged sexual misconduct against his players.

LOOKING INTO THE ALLEGATIONS
On 22 June, in response to The Straits Times, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and Sport Singapore said they were looking into the allegations.
“We take a serious view of any misconduct that threatens the core values of sport and undermines the mental and physical health of participants.
“The FAS is working closely with SportSG’s Safe Sport Commission to look into this matter expediently.
“The Safe Sport Commission will assess if a potential breach of the Safe Sport Unified Code has occurred and following that, commence formal investigations where appropriate.”
Reactions to the story so far have been almost one dimensional with commenters insisting on investigations to commence against the alleged perpetrator.

A senior club official who spoke to TMSG also added that the authorities should not be pussyfooting on the allegations which have surfaced, and should strip the club of its academy accreditation.
