Would you start queuing from 6am just to buy a phone?
Well, some people surely did.
On 27 October, Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore launched the latest HUAWEI Mate 20 series with an exclusive sale at Causeway Point.
Queues stretched to more than a thousand people in line within hours before the start of the sale.
Mr. Kishore Lal was first in line since 6am and will be using a Huawei smartphone for the first time.
“I have been reading a number of positive reviews about the Huawei smartphone and its camera quality, so I thought i would give it a try this time around.”
A video by Channelnewsasia also showed a snaking queue around the mall.
The HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro supports a 15W HUAWEI Wireless Quick Charge, the industry’s fastest wireless charging solution, and Wireless Reverse Charge, which enables the device to work as a power bank for other Qi-enabled devices.
What takes the cake is the all-new Leica Triple Camera system which features an Ultra Wide Angle Lens, Wide Angle Lens and Telephoto Lens as well as a Dual Tone Flash.
“The turnout for our launch of the Mate 20 Series has been outstanding and it reinforces our position in the market as a global brand. We are deeply humbled and grateful for the growing support from our customers in Singapore,” said Mr. Cheng Jiangfei, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group Singapore.
