The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has banned the President of Woodlands Warriors for a period of one year.
On the FAS website, it was stated that he was seen in the vicinity of a match during the Singapore Youth League instructing players even though he was suspended.

What we can also confirm is that the club has not been allowed to participate in the Singapore Youth League (SYL) for the current season.
In a memo sent out to all members of the association, it said that Shahfie has been “given a 1-year ban from taking part in any football related activity in Singapore from 6 February 2025”.

A disciplinary committee was apparently convened on 6 February, details of which were not stated in the memo.
FAS officials TMSG spoke to also did not have any background into why he has been slapped with the ban, and for what level of indiscipline.
The note added that Shahfie shall no longer be able to be involved in, conduct or participate in any activities of the FAS, Clubs, tournaments, matches, coach, officiate or be an official of any football club in Singapore.
No reasons were provided in the note to the members.
TMSG understands that the ban is potentially due to his continued involvement in activities despite being suspended from activities given there is an open investigation into his actions.
While reasons were not provided for the ban, what is factual is that there is a pending police investigation into Shahfie for allegations into possible misconduct which is egregious in nature.
This is evidenced in the revocation of his coaching credentials from Sport Singapore.

It is not known if the FAS will inform regional national associations of Shahfie’s ban, given that he has posted on the club’s socials that life goes despite not being able to participate in the SYL.

His personal profile has been locked.
