If true, Home United looks set to put a poor start to the season behind and sign one of Singapore’s most recognised football faces.
But whether t is too little too late for the current season remains to be seen.
On 10 May, it was revealed in the Straits Times that former national coach Radojko Avramovic is set to sign on as coach of Singapore Premier League side Home United.
While Avramovic was not available for comment, the club said in response to queries that “the search for the club’s next head coach is still ongoing and we intend to confirm the appointment by the end of the month.”
Avramovic is currently in Kuwait with Premier League side Al Tadhamon.
Avramovic is no stranger to Singapore football.
He won three ASEAN titles when he was national coach – in 2004, 2007 and again in 2012.
Home United is currently being led by interim coach Noh Rahman after it parted ways with Saswadimata Dasuki.
The Protectors are currently in sixth position in the table, with 10 points to boot. The leaders DPMM of Brunei, are in top spot with 23 points after nine matches.
