Esports and lifestyle brand Legion of Racers have signed up two female youngsters, both twin sisters, as part of their newly-launched Talent Management unit.

The sisters, both aged 11 are the first to come under LOR’s Talent Management, which was launched at the beginning of 2024. The sisters – Sujana Dandu and Sanjana Dandu – have been studying in Singapore since 2020.

Said their father, Suman Dandu, “We started karting for the two girls because of the pandemic, since it was a non-contact sport and decided to continue because of their interest in Formula 1 and racing.

“We hope that LOR can push the sisters to deliver results but the most important thing is to see growth not just in terms of performance but also from other aspects of developing as all-rounded athletes.”

The idea for LOR’s Talent Management unit came after LOR Co-Founder Melvin Moh saw a gap in what he saw as a necessity to help young budding motorsports racers develop in a holistic manner.

“The idea is to guide them as they move up further in the motorsport ladder and to utilise the experience to guide them as they are given the support in coaching, media training and also understanding the importance of networking,” said Moh.

The programme is open to current karters and enthusiasts who are hoping  to start their karting journey, and need a leg up as they take the plunge.

“The key for these drivers is to know that there is such support available in motorsports, just like in other sports, and there is an opportunity to develop holistically,” he added.

Drivers, like Sujana and Sanjana, who are part of the programme, will come under the tutelage of Moh, who himself is a race car driver, with 20 years of experience on the track.

The key priority for the Dandu sisters would be to manage and prepare them for the 2024 Iame Series Asia Championship, Australian Karting Championship and Champions of the Future.

Added Suman, “We believe LOR can provide the right support and guidance to help improve the performance of the girls, and we trust that they will do what they can to bring out the best in our daughters.”
