Lions defender Safuwan Baharudin has said that the Lions can possibly get something agains Korea Republic, given recent trends.
“It’s possible to get something. Malaysia have done it, Thailand have done it,” he said at the pre-match media conference, carried on CNA.
“And it’s a good chance for us to do it with the home crowd backing us,” hesaid.
Safuwan is not too far off with his wild claim, based on recent results.

Malaysia held the Koreans 3-3 in an Asian Cup group stage clash match, which was a dead rubber, while Thailand, in the same World Cup qualifying group as the Lions, drew 1-1 against the Oppa side in March.
But the Lions lost 5-0 in the reverse fixture in November, while still under the care of Takayuki Nishigaya.
“It’s motivation for me to do better every time when you see neighbour(ing) countries doing well,” said Safuwan, one of the Lions stalwarts.
“It shows the level where they are and we know that we are not far away from them.”
The Lions will be backed by a full house at the National Stadium on 6 June.
But whether they are there to support the Lions or are fans of the Koreans, or just Son Heung Min if left to be proven.
A packed stadium for a Lions match, will be a sight to behold, nonetheless.
“To have the home fans coming is definitely a motivation for us to do well,” said Safuwan.
