A parent of a 14-year-old student has filed a police report alleging that his son was verbally and mentally abused by his football coach in school.
TMSG will not name the school and the student involved.
The school is known to be a prominent football school.
TMSG understands that the principal of the school is currently involved with the investigation at the school.
Other students also have appeared to have corroborated the use of the language as alleged.
The list of words which the coach allegedly used against the players in the team was submitted to the principal for his investigation.
The list was shared with TMSG by a source who is close to the current ongoings in this matter.
TMSG has made the difficult decision to make public this piece of evidence to help reveal some of the harsh realities on the ground, to help policymakers make decisions when it comes to student’s mental health wellness.
It is not known if the coach has been suspected pending the investigation.
A coach of another school who is aware of the allegations told TMSG that such language should not be used in modern day coaching, and especially if minors are involved.
“This is not acceptable and I am not sure how can a coach use such language on young students,” he said.
