The Aureus Conservatory is a sister institution of Aureus Academy, Singapore’s fastest growing premier music school which was founded in 2013 with over 5,000 students and 200 full-time music lecturers.

Aureus Conservatory hopes to cultivate the next generation of educators and performers by offering world-class education in state-of-the-art facilities, while most importantly, supporting students with both career and performance opportunities like never before.

The Conservatory is a champion for the pursuit of music, not just as a hobby, but as a completely viable and promising career path. Such initiatives are key to building a greater and more vibrant arts community – especially in a society rooted in practicality – and whose value cannot be overstated as we aspire to become a global cultural hub, said the Aureus Conservatory in a news release.

Gradutaes from any of its programmes will be extended the opportunity to teach in its music schools.

The 100% employability guarantee also grants a second chance to people in other lines of work who wish to make the career change to pursue music.

Anyone with a minimum Grade 8 in ABRSM practical exam (or equivalent level as determined by audition) would be able to secure a teaching role after as short as a six-month Professional Certificate course at Aureus Conservatory.

This extension of the Aureus brand is truly testament to their commitment to providing music training of the highest calibre to all people of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of experience.

IMG_6112“We are thrilled to take our music education offerings one notch higher, and be able to nurture aspiring performers and teachers up to the highest stages of learning,” said Mr. Lawrence Homefjord-Sarabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Aureus Group and Director of Aureus Conservatory.

“By combining artistic development, academic excellence, and promising career opportunities, we believe Aureus Conservatory is set to revolutionize the path of music education in Singapore.”

A full tuition award, the Aureus Scholarship, funded by Aureus Academy, will be awarded to all successfully-placed candidates.

Worth up to a whopping $40,000 in tuition fees, students will have the opportunity to study free-of-charge throughout the duration of the course, and will be guaranteed a full-time job at Aureus Academy upon successful course completion.

With the commencement of its first semester in April 2019, the Conservatory will offer two courses for musicians all across Asia: Diploma in Music and Professional Certificate in Music Education.

The Diploma in Music is a full-time, two-year entry-by-audition course, open to all with a minimum GCE ‘O’ Level in English or equivalent, and a Grade 8 in ABRSM practical exam or equivalent.

The Professional Certificate in Music Education is a six-month course open to students of all ages and backgrounds seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in music performance and education, with a minimum Grade 8 in ABRSM practical exam or equivalent.

The Conservatory is also working with the relevant authorities on offering a Bachelor’s Degree in Music course, in collaboration with some of the world’s most well-recognized music institutions, for all interested young musicians.
