Para archer Nur Syahidah progresses.

Aug 27, 2021 ,

Singapore’s world number two para archer Nur Syahidah Alim has been placed seventh out of 24th in the women’s compound open ranking round at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.

She finished with 682 points, and will advance to the 1/8 elimination round on Monday, 30 August.

She said that she was “feeling fine” despite the hot weather, which hovered around 34 degrees on Monday morning.

“With the cooling strategies that we practised, it really helped,” she said.

“The wind is pretty strong. But it is good, we managed to shoot in the wind pretty well with the guidance of my coach.”

She added that she was “feeling very excited” and will hope to do her best during the individual elimination round on Monday.
