Police have begun investigations into the actions of the Singapore Youth League club coach accused of sexual abuse and harassment, TMSG can reveal.
On 24 July, TMSG shared all evidence within the publication’s possession to a police investigating officer (IO) who had met with editor Jose Raymond.
The IO had requested for the meeting with TMSG which took place at 11am earlier on 24 July at a public location.
TMSG would like to urge all players and former players of the club who were allegedly harassed to share their experiences with the investigating officer so that action can be taken against the alleged perpetrator.
This latest development comes about a month after TMSG exposed the SYL club coach in a story which showed how he had allegedly harassed young players who were playing at his club and academy.
See story below.
One of the allegations levelled against the coach is that he shared a photo of his erect penis to a player.
It is not known if he knew he was sharing the photo with a player, who was on his “Close Friends” list on Instagram.
When contacted by TMSG previously, he said that he was not aware who was on his “Close Friends” list and decided to shut the account when he became “scared” about what he had done without realising the consequences of his actions.
When asked if he had informed others that his Instagram account had been hacked and that he had filed a police report, he confirmed it.
But when asked again whether he had filed a report about a hack, given that he had admitted to posting the photo but then shutting it down thereafter, he then said he “cannot confirm anything.”
He also said he couldn’t recall if he had sent any audio messages to anyone.
HUGS AND INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOUR
There are also players who have shared how he used to give them unnecessary hugs and also touched the penis of one of the players who stayed over at his house in the morning when he had early morning wood.
There is also another allegation that he has sought sex from a female student from a school.
This has not been corroborated thus far.
Since the story was published by TMSG, the alleged perpetrator has since turned all his social media platforms private, and even locked his personal profile which he used to use for all posts about his club.
Following the story which was published by TMSG, other media outlets have also shared how the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and national sports agency Sport Singapore have commenced investigations into the allegations which have surfaced.

“We take a serious view of any misconduct that threatens the core values of sport and undermines the mental and physical health of participants,” the FAS and SportSG said in a statement to The Straits Times.
“The FAS is working closely with SportSG’s Safe Sport Commission to look into this matter expediently.
“The Safe Sport Commission will assess if a potential breach of the Safe Sport Unified Code has occurred and following that, commence formal investigations where appropriate.”
