A parent of a Balestier Khalsa U15 player has apologised for racially abusing a player from ACTIVESG FA (AFA) during a Singapore Youth League (SYL) Division 1 match on 2 November.
In a statement seen by TMSG, the parent said that he was writing to “sincerely apologize for my recent use of a word that is deeply offensive and hurtful”.
“I recognize that my language was completely unacceptable, and I am truly sorry for the pain and harm my words may have caused.
“As a parent, I understand that my actions carry weight, not only for my own children but also for the young people who look to adults as role models.”

The apology comes at the back of TMSG’s story on 3 November about an AFA player being racially abused during an SYL match.
