Tampines Rovers will see the return of a familiar brand on their jerseys.

On 22 February, it was announced that the Stags have signed on former sponsors Hyundai through their distributors Komoco Motors.

Komoco Motors is helmed by Teo Hock Seng, a former Chairman of the Stags who’s now a Vice-President of the Football Association of Singapore.

“Mr Teo leads from the heart. But, notwithstanding his soft spot for Tampines, we want to be able to look people in the eye and say that we are a value proposition that doesn’t undermine our business partner,” said Stags chairman Desmond Ong to the Straits Times.

Komoco Motors’ marketing manager Shirley Sng added: “We have decided to support Tampines Rovers because of the club’s management.

“We feel they are leading the club to exciting times through their strategy.”

Hyundai were sponsors of the Stags from 2001 to 2017. They were co-sponsors of the league in 2018.

For the 2019 season, the club will have former international Kadir Yahaya as its consultant while Gavin Lee will be coach-in-waiting while he concludes his coaching badges.

Lee will be assisted by assistant coach Mustafic Fahrudin.
