National interim head coach Nazri Nasir will go for the jugular in the friendly against Malaysia on Wednesday at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

Singapore faces the Tigers of Malaysia at the inaugural AIRMARINE Cup 2019 knock-out tie on 20 March night.

According the official Football Association of Singapore website, Nazri is undaunted by the prospect of taking to the Bukit Jalil National Stadium pitch and “vowed that the Lions will not shirk from the fight.”

“Knowing that our first game is against Malaysia, the pressure is high and but it’s a pleasure for me to handle this pressure,” he told FAS.org.sg.

“It’s a fantastic challenge for me and I’m really excited. As head coach, I am looking forward to working with our team and for them to play to my plan.

This will be the first meeting between both teams since a 0-0 friendly draw was played out in the National Stadium in October 2016.

Singapore’s last trip to Bukit Jalil ended in a 3-0 win in the 2012 Suzuki Cup group stages.
