Race Box is powered by Singtel’s 5G and is an extension of a partnership between LOR and OUE, first established during the OUE E-Cities Championship.

The pop up at Mandarin Gallery will be in operation from 10 December to 9 January 2022 from 11am to 9pm daily, but will be closed on Mondays, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Apart from sim racing on the Orchard Road Street Circuit in an Alpine A110 GT4, the facility will also feature a spot for food and beverage presented by TUCA, as well as slot car racing (see photo below).

TUCA is a café, event and social space by Cover Projects, which will provide a variety of all-day food menu.

“Race Box aims to be the biggest and most diverse multi-motorsport event and facility in the world which is enjoyed by everyone, from motorsports enthusiasts to their families,” said Lim Keong Wee, co-founder of LOR and Race Box.

“It is a multi-content motorsports experience built by professional racers, which is powered by youth culture.”

Budding sim racers will also have a chance to learn driving and sim racing skills from experts like LOR and Race Box co-founder Melvin Moh while they are at the facility.

In addition, there will also be a spot for young children to engage in art and craft at the Alpine Children Art Experience corner.

“We are hoping for visitors to have an immersive and inclusive experience at Race Box, so it caters for something for everyone, and is family-friendly,” said Moh.
