Singapore’s sailing pair of Kimberly Lim and Cecilia Low have ended their 49er FX medal race, finishing 10th out of 21 overall in the event.
The Asian Games gold medallists secured Singapore’s highest ever finish in a sailing event at the Olympics at the Enoshima Yacht Harbour.

The final medal race was held on 3 August, a day later than 2 August, due to poor wind conditions.
The Brazilian duo of Martine Grael and Kahena Kunzel took gold, followed by Germany’s Tina Lutz and Susann Beucke who both clinched silver.
The bronze medal was won by Annemiek Bekkering and Annette Duetz of the Netherlands.
Singapore’s best showing at the Olympics prior to Tokyo 2020 was Laser sailor Colin Cheng’s 15th position finish at the London Olympics in 2012.
